PREGAME NOTES
As expected, Marchand will not play after making his season debut in a 5-1 win against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday. It's a planned game off for the forward, with Boston holding Marchand out of back-to-back games for the time being. Craig Smith will skate on the top line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk.
David Krejci will not play after suffering an upper-body injury on Thursday night, with Montgomery tabbing his 2C as “day to day” for now. With Krejci out, Pavel Zacha will slot into the second-line center spot.
Boston recalled Jakub Lauko from Providence, with the winger skating on the fourth line — while A.J. Greer returns to the lineup on the third line.
Jakub Zboril will slot out of the lineup, with Anton Stralman taking his spot on Boston’s blue line.
