The B’s got off to a bad first period getting outshot and out hustled. It was capped off by giving up a goal with 7.8 seconds remaining to Josh Morrissey to give Winnipeg a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
It did not get any better in the second period as Gabriel Vilardi scored at the 11:17 mark to make it 2-0. Nino Niederreiter scored later at the 17:41 mark to give the Jets a 3-0 lead.

- Bruins were sleeping throughout the game, coming out with little energy.
- Boston couldn't hold onto the puck and Winnipeg gave the B's no space.
- Even after clearing a pwoer play or stopping a penalty shot, they gave up goals shortly after
- Is this the real Bruins and was the start of the season a fluke?

PREGAME NOTES
The Bruins begin a three-game road trip tonight as well as a back-to-back north of the border in Winnipeg to face the Jets at 8 p.m. ET. Matt Grzelcyk did not make the trip after he suffered an injury Tuesday night versus the Minnesota Wild. Jim Montgomery told reporters this morning that they expect Grzelcyk will return right after Christmas. Mason Lohrei and Charlie McAvoy will be on Boston's top defensive pairing tonight.
Kevin Shattenkirk is one goal away from recording number 100 for his career.
The B's fourth line of Jakub Lauko, Johnny Beecher and Oskar Steen played one of its better games on Tuesday versus Minnesota. “They’ve been incredible lately. They’ve been a huge part of our group,” Brad Marchand explained. “They’re not getting enough credit right now," Marchand continued.
The Bruins face a Winnipeg team that has won three of their last four games, most recently a 5-2 win over Detroit on Wednesday night. Mark Scheifele leads the Jets in points (34), while Kyle Connor- currently out with an injury- leads the club in goals (17). The Bruins will be facing a goaltender in Connor Hellebuyck who has 15-6-2 record, 2.43 GAA and a .916 save percentage on the season.
