PREGAME NOTES
Boston has won seven in a row after a 3-2 win at the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. Dmitry Orlov and Garnet Hathaway each notched their first points with the Bruins with assists on Tomas Nosek's first-period goal.
Boston did not hold a morning skate. Linus Ullmark is expected to start after Jeremy Swayman made 22 saves last night. Matt Grzelcyk was the odd man out in Edmonton as the Bruins work Orlov into the defensive group.
Jim Montgomery told reporters before the game that Brandon Carlo will draw out. Orlov will take his spot andd Grzelcyk will go back with McAvoy.
The Bruins and Flames last met on Nov. 10 in a 3-1 win at TD Garden, where Linus Ullmark made 31 saves in addition to goals for Charlie McAvoy, Connor Clifton and David Pastrnak.
Calgary has lost seven of its last 10 games, including two in a row and a 4-1 loss at Colorado last time out.
The Flames held an optional morning skate, and Dan Vladar is expected to get the start, his third in four games and his third start against Boston. The former Bruin made 25 saves in the loss to Boston on Nov. 10. He stopped 28 shots in a 4-0 shutout at the Bruins on Nov. 21, 2021.
