Following a 10-day layoff, the Bruins return to action Saturday with their second meeting against the Capitals this season. Boston beat Washington, 5-2, in its season-opener on Oct. 12. Jake DeBrusk is nearing a return to the lineup after suffering multiple injuries during the 2023 Winter Classic. Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said he is likely to return either Tuesday or Thursday on the to road. In 63 career games against the Bruins, Alex Ovechkin has scored 28 goals for tops among current Capitals skaters. Ovechkin trails Wayne Gretzky's all-time scoring record by 82 goals.
