TreVeyon Henderson, who had been out of action since last Thursday with an official "illness" designation on the NFL injury report, clarified his situation in a statement on Friday that revealed he spent several days in the hospital undergoing tests to determine the cause of unexplained neurological symptoms that have affected his strength and coordination.

Those tests have come back "positive and reassuring" but "the cause of this remains unknown and unexplainable."

“I will continue working closely with my specialists and physical therapists to focus on my recovery, as these symptoms have affected my strength, coordination and some of my physical functions,” Henderson wrote. “I am committed to doing everything necessary to return to full health. My health and long-term well-being remain my foremost priorities.”

Henderson didn't say anything about football in his statement, and the team didn't offer any more information on his condition or treatment. Obviously, football is very much in the background during this ordeal.

"I know that he is well loved and respected on our football team," Mike Vrabel said. "My support shows up in a lot of different ways, and I’m trying to make sure that TreVeyon's cared for, the recovery plan is intact, he's comfortable with it, and that his wife Kenzie is cared for and understands what was going on through the process. To support him the best way that I know how is just to care for him, listen to him, and do whatever we can to get healthy, get back, help this football team and do what he loves."

Vrabel did not say if this medical emergency was related to some of Henderson's previous mental health issues that he detailed to Go Long!, including intense sleep paralysis accompanied by terrifying hallucinations, deep anger, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

"I’d take a look at TreVeyon's statement, and that'll speak for itself," Vrabel said. "That's why he did it. I'm not going to speak on somebody else's health. I think that was what he wanted to put out there. He clearly supported it, and I think that that just speaks for itself."

Vrabel said the team had not decided
