FOXBOROUGH — Practice No. 11 is in the books; let's run down all you need to know, including stats, 1-on-1s, lineup adjustments and observations:
FOUR THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Defense intercepts final three passes of practice: In a session closed to the public due to the BTS concert at Gillette, Drake Maye (twice) and Tommy DeVito were intercepted on consecutive throws to end it. The situation was 1:20 to go from their own 40-yard line. Maye got the Patriots into enemy territory with a contested out to A.J. Brown against Christian Gonzalez (both players had to be separated at one point in practice). But after clocking the ball, Maye forced a seam pass to Kayshon Boutte that was picked off by an undercutting Marcus Jones. Given another chance, Maye forced a seam pass to Hunter Henry into triple coverage that was high and intercepted by Kevin Byard in the end zone. DeVito was intercepted by safety John Saunders as Gabe Jacas pressured the QB.
Injuries and lineup changes: LT Will Campbell, wearing a brace on his left arm for the second-straight practice, did not take part in 1-on-1s or team drills. He was replaced by Marcus Bryant, not Caleb Lomu. He stayed almost exclusively at RT, with a few LT reps on the third team in relief of Dametrious Crownover, who was pulling double duty as the second and third team LT. ... WR Romeo Doubs missed his second-straight practice, which saw Efton Chism get some of his start snaps. ... CB Charles Woods and DT Christian Barmore left practice with trainers. Kindle Vildor replaced Woods. Joshua Farmer got Barmore's reps. ... DE Harold Landry was spotted for the first time with these eyes as he worked on the side in a long-sleeved shirt and shorts under the supervision of Frank Piraino, director of sports performance. He pushed a sled at one point, but he was favoring his left leg. Seems to be a ways off, but always a good sign if they appear on the field. ... LG Caeden Wallace rode a bike and then left practice.
Patriots looking at veteran guard health: We told you on Wednesday to be on the lookout sooner rather than later for the Patriots getting depth help at guard. Well, it's happening today as well-traveled 36-year-old Greg Van Roten is visiting the team. Van Roten started all 17 games the last three years for the Raiders (2023) and Giants ('24-25). He was in the Josh McDaniels offense in Vegas. Nothing has worked for the Patriots behind starters Alijah Vera-Tucker and Mike Onwenu. Caeden Wallace, Ben Brown, Mehki Butler, James Hudson and Andrew Rupcich have all had opportunities to this point, and it has not gone well.

Tommy DeVito: 3 of 6, INT
Behren Morton: 3 of 6
Note: I do not have the number of reps that some other writers have because I do not count when the offense is "working off cards." Those are plays when an assistant coach literally brings out a play on a card and shows it to one side of the ball. They are not running their own plays, so since there are so many x-factors — including the receiver running the right route, and blockers executing correctly — I do not count those reps.

Fumbles: None.
Drops: None.
Pass breakups: Cory Durden (Maye), Brandon Crossley (Morton)
Interceptions: Jones (Maye), Byard (Maye), Saunders (DeVito).
Run stuffs (4): Charles Woods (Stevenson), Marcellas Dial (Jennings), KJ Britt (Myles Montgomery), Jeremiah Pharms (Lomu).
Pressures/sacks (2): Jesse Luketa (Morton), Gabe Jacas (Lomu)
PASS RUSH ONE-ON-ONES

Decisive bouts:
• TE Tanner Arkin pretty much whiffed against Dre'Mont Jones to the outside.
• After winning his first rep, Caleb Lomu posted his sixth decisive loss when Xavier Holmes used an inside swim move to leave Lomu stumbling.
• Quintayvious Hutchins used speed to easily get around Lorenz Metz.
• Holmes bulled TE Mitch Van Vooren.
1-ON-1s FROM GIARDI
Red zone 2-on-2s and 1-on-1s (fast and furious)
Maye:
- Hits A.J. Brown on a slant, easily creating separation from Kevin Byard.
- Hunter Henry gets himself free versus Dell Pettus for an easy completion.
- Kayshon Boutte, with an inside release, gets by Marcus Jones on a slant.
- Kyle Williams gets isolated on Byard and also beats him on a slant.
- Great recovery by Pettus to chop the ball out of Henry’s hands on a corner route.
- Craig Woodson with a fingertip PBU of a throw to an open Brown in the corner.
- Eli Raridon sheds safety Mike Brown as he works outside in. He generated quite a bit of space.
- Mack Hollins with good arm/hand extension to reel in a slant despite Christian Gonzalez being in his hip pocket. Meanwhile, during the same rep, Byard jammed Boutte not once but twice to take him out of the route.
- Henry wins with an out and up on Pettus. Ball hit the ground shortly after he caught it. Maybe an incomplete?
- Raridon takes care of Brown again, winning with an inside release before working into the flat.
DeVito:
- Ball goes through Efton Chism’s hands with Marcellas Dial in coverage.
- Kyle Dixon shows up in the back of the end zone against UDFA Channing Canada.
- Dial covers up Chism.
- Dixon again, this time against safety Peter Manuma, gets open in the corner.
Behren Morton:
- Finds Kobee Prentice beating Brandon Crossley.
- Nick DeGennaro wins on an out route vs. John Saunders.
TOP PLAYS
Really liked Maye's touchdown to Hollins on the end line over Byard. Can't teach height, and the pass was perfect, even if the defense was saying he was out of bounds (I couldn't ascertain that).
THREE UP
LG Alijah Vera Tucker: First really impressive day of 1-on-1s where he was 2-0 and pretty much flawless.
C Jared Wilson: Also an impressive 2-0.
DE Xavier Holmes: Was 2-0 with two decisive wins.
THREE DOWN
OT Caleb Lomu: Had another bad loss in 1-on-1s and seemed to be responsible for a stuff and a sack in team periods. Plus, the team didn't even consider putting him at LT over Marcus Bryant.
DE Dre'Mont Jones: Ended up 2-2, but his two wins were against TE Tanner Arkin and OG Andrew Rupcich, when Jones lined up over the guard. He lost to Marcus Bryant and Rupcich.
QB Drake Maye: Two picks are two picks, and neither was really close to being completed. More like panicked throws.
ODDS AND ENDS
• In low red zone work, Maye threw touchdowns to Pop Douglas (Marcus Jones) and Mack Hollins (Kevin Byard).
• TE CJ Dippre pancaked Jacas on a run play.
• TreVeyon Henderson had a poor blitz pickup that might have resulted in a Maye sack, but I gave him the completion to Brown against Kobee Minor.
• More checkdowns and short stuff for the first-team offense. Maye tried to go deep to Brown against Gonzalez, but it wasn't close.
• KJ Britt knocked Myles Montgomery off his feet on a tackle.
• A lot of RPO work in the red zone.
• Kyle Williams had a weird rep that probably won't go over well. There was an all-out blitz against DeVito, who floated a pass to the right corner of the end zone in the direction of Williams against Minor. Williams thought it was going to be over his shoulder ... it bounced behind him.
