FOXBOROUGHPractice No. 18 - the final session of camp - is in the books from Gillette Stadium, let's run down all you need to know from an in-season-ish practice:

ONE THING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Good and not great news on the injury front: Mixed bad on the Patriots' injuries. The Good: starting guard Mike Onwenu is off the PUP list and starting to get ramped up. Cole Strange was also at least watching practice, but wasn't in pads. OT Calvin Anderson (NFI) also watched practice without a uniform. Some progress there.

The not great, but not terrible news: Mike Gesicki, after being a full participant on Tuesday, did not take part in team drills today. I take that as the usual comeback path — go hard a day, take a step back to deal with normal soreness.

Not ideal: Rookie CB Christian Gonzalez limped off late in practice and did not return. TE Hunter Henry was shaken up going to the ground late in practice and did not return. Gonzalez seemed to be the more serious injury but I'm not overly concerned.

Tyquan Thornton still not seen. Demario Douglas on rehab field with Carl Davis.

QB STATS

Mac Jones: 15 of 19, 2 TDs, 6 sacks

Bailey Zappe: 11 of 15, 2 TDs, 2 sacks (one TD was deflected)

TOP PLAYS

Mac Jones deep to Kendrick Bourne down the right sideline.

Zappe great throw in red zone to left corner to Thyrick Pitts against Marte Mapu.

SHANK IT OFF

Nick Folk got all the kicks today with Bryce Baringer holding for each. He started 5 of 6 and then missed his final two kicks. 5 of 8 overall.

Punter hangtimes: Baringer — 4.76, 4.91, 4.94, 5.09. Strong day for him. Corliss Waitman — 3.71, 4.09, 4.64, 4.50.

However, it should be pointed out that when it came to situational punting, Baringer only took full-field punts, and Waitman got all the positional punting and again excelled. Could they be entertaining keep two punters?

THREE UP

Kayshon Boutte: With Thornton and Douglas out, he received a lot more playing time and delivered with four catches, including a TD from Mac Jones with 2 seconds on the clock. The kid has really had a good couple weeks.

Matthew Judon: Was completely unblockable on either side of the line of scrimmage with 3 sacks and a bunch of pressures.

Deatrich Wise: Put Trent Brown on his rear end at one point.

TWO DOWN

Atonio Mafi: Got benched a couple times for Chasen Hines.

Trent Brown: Gave up a lot of pressure today.

QUICK HITS

  • Both offensive lines had not starting changes. Jake Andrews still at center, Bill Murray at RT.
  • Ezekiel Elliott saw an increase in touches. Has some nice juice in his legs. No negative plays. Big on goal line.
  • Good day for both QBs. Mac Jones complained about all the blitzes at one point, but they adjusted and were better.
  • Zappe had at least three passes deflected.
  • Starting secondary was Gonzalez, Jones, Mills and Dugger.
  • Myles Bryant continues to get a ton of time with the starters and is playing well.
