C David Andrews: Before he hurt his hand and welcomed his first child this week, Andrews was off to his typical start. Just rock-solid, never gives up much. You worry a little when he gets into space against the pass rush, but he's still good there and outstanding in run game.
LT Isaiah Wynn: Cross your fingers that Wynn doesn't get bit by the injury bug because he has looked outstanding so far. He's playing with confidence and loose — could be as a result of the team picking up his fifth-year option for a decent chunk of coin. There should be no talk of him kicking inside. Hopefully he stays healthy.
RT Trent Brown: Picked up right where he left off as a Patriot. At times he'll get bit by speed around the end, but for a big guy, he has to have the quickest initial kickstep I've ever seen. Sometimes it's so fast he looks offsides. If Ato Boldon announced Patriots training camp practices, he'd be raving about his get-off speed. I highly doubt this will be an issue, but line coach Carm Bricillo was all over Brown's case in Sunday's padded practice, and I think Brown gave as good as he got. But it seemed fine overall. At one point, after getting chewed out, Brown walked back near Bricillo and started a discussion in what appeared to be a conciliatory tone. I don't think there are any issues. But, something to loosely monitor.
RG Shaq Mason: Excellent start. Always been a great run blocker. Now he's getting into that range as a pass blocker. It's like he has Velcro on his uniform.
RT Justin Herron: A mild surprise in this camp. He looked solid as a rookie but needed to get stronger. He appears to have improved there in the offseason. He's in the mix at backup left and right tackle.
LG Mike Onwenu: Has probably been the most impressive lineman from day to day and drill to drill. He's on his way to being an All-Pro very soon. What a tremendous draft pick.
OT Jerald Hawkins: Only signed July 30th but he's been a decent player so far. Tell you one thing: he might win the best-looking lineman contest because he's built perfectly for the position, but his very inconsistent.
OG Marcus Martin: The journeyman has his moments where he looks like a solid prospect on the interior. But he gets it from the coaches a lot.
G/C James Ferentz: His 2-6-4 record is par for the course in his career. Just ok, but good to have around.
OT Yodny Cajuste: At least he's been on the field. and you can see the underlying talent ... why the Patriots drafted him in the third round in 2019. He just looks like an athletic tackle. The skills are there, but he's very rusty after many injuries. He is not a lost cause. Would make a good practice squad candidate.
OG RJ Prince: Just a really rough camp all around.
OT Korey Cunningham: He's better in the team periods, but the best thing for the Patriots is to have him play well in the preseason and then to trade him. A lot of teams looking for veteran tackles.
OG Alex Redmond: Not much there.
OG Will Sherman: The sixth-round pick has struggled but the traits are there for him to be a good guard. Looks great in his stance. Having a tough time with the physical play.

Christian Barmore (Adam Richins for BSJ)
DEFENSIVE LINE COMMENTS
DT Christian Barmore: I'm not sure I've ever seen a rookie interior pass rusher this good this soon, and I saw some good ones in Miami and Green Bay. I can't even find a comp for him — former Packer Johnny Jolly comes to mind, but Barmore is more ferocious and powerful at this age. Now the Patriots need to figure out if he can two-gap on early downs, and keep him on the field (Barmore going off and then back on the practice field is becoming a regular occurrence). If he stays on the field, people are going to wonder why they overrated Adam Butler for so long. Barmore is WAY better.
DE Henry Anderson: Has been the perfect addition. His strength at the point of attack is better than I remember in Indy and with the Jets.
DT Davon Godchaux: Built low and powerful to the ground. Love this addition.
DE Josh Uche: If you're talking about confidence and playing fast ... Uche looks like a veteran out there now. Look out this season.
DE Ronnie Perkins: Raw, relentless and powerful — exactly what he showed on tape at OU. Now he needs to get the scheme a bit better.
DT Carl Davis: Don't tell Lawrence Guy, but I might have a new interior DL crush. Just a powerful man.
DE Deatrich Wise: Same guy every year. Apparently that's worth about $6 million per season. Seems to be a better fit with this personnel, but we'll see how he holds up against the run.
DT Nick Thurman: Solid and unspectacular.
DT Montravius Adams: Needs to pick it up to make this team. Davis and Barmore may have passed him over the last week.
DE Rashod Berry: So much potential but I don't know if the Patriots can wait for him. How much time will he get when Chase Winovich gets back?
DT Lawrence Guy: Good thing his value isn't in pass rushing.
DE Matthew Judon: He has to go up against Brown and Wynn a lot ... is better in scrimmage situations than one-on-ones. Bet he dominates the Eagles next week.
DE Tashawn Bower: One of my favorites last year has gotten off to a rough start.
DT Bill Murray: First-team all try-hard team but not many places on this team for run pluggers.
