PREGAME NOTES

After missing 18 games with an upper-body injury, Brandon Carlo will return to the Bruins lineup tonight. Mike Reilly will also return to the B's D corps after missing Monday's game, while Kevan Miller will sit out the second leg of the back-to-back slate. Jakub Zboril and Karson Kuhlman will also slot out of the lineup — with Trent Frederic taking Kuhlman's spot on the fourth line.

Jaroslav Halak will get his first start in net for Boston since April 3. The veteran goalie, who missed close to two weeks while on the COVID protocols list, has made one appearance over the last month, a 17-minute relief appearance in Boston's loss to Buffalo on April 23.

This stands as the eighth and final game between the Bruins and Devils this season. So far, Boston is 3-3-1 against New Jersey this season.

David Pastrnak is one goal short of his 200th NHL goal.
