Celtics dominate three quarters and before holding on for victory: Jayson Tatum scored a team-high 32 points while Jaylen Brown added his second straight double-double (27 points, 12 rebounds) to lead the Celtics to their fourth straight win over the reeling Wizards. Boston led by as many as 28 points in the early stages of the second half behind their scoring duo that led a Boston team to nearly 60 percent shooting in the first half. However, Bradley Beal (41 points) and the Wizards did not fold until late, trimming Boston’s lead down to four points midway through the fourth quarter before the C’s seized control once more. Boston’s turnover issues (21 on the night) fed into the comeback as the team’s uneven play in late situations this year continues. Still, Boston improved to 7-3 on the year, just a half-game behind the NBA’s best team in Philly.
