Good morning!
Your daily rundown of what's going on with the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Revolution, and what's about to happen, for BSJ members only ...
- Mookie Betts showed the entire nation what the Red Sox gave up as he went 2 for 4 with a home run, 2 runs scored, an RBI, 2 stolen bases, and beat a play to the plate against a drawn-in infield as the Dodgers took Game 1 of the World Series 8-3.
- Yeah, great show for the Red Sox.
- Lots of talk about Cam Newton this week, and I think it's warranted. He's struggled in his last two starts.
- I broke down the issues in the loss to the Broncos.
- Also talked about them with Felger & Mazz.
- More on the podcast in the AM.
- Practice will definitely help. The Patriots are so different than the Titans — another team that played (and won) on short practice time. Namely, the Titans know exactly who they are and have largely been together for two years. The Patriots, with a new QB, still don't have the first damn clue who they are. Practice is much more vital for them.
- What's up with Gordon Hayward's contract?
- Salary arbitration is an issue for MLB this offseason.
- Conor says Matt Grzelcyk should deliver in a top-pairing role for the Bruins.
