Patriots cancel practice after another positive Covid test, Sunday’s game on for now – 3 starters questionable

Minutes after making assistants available to the media, the Patriots released the following statement:

Patriots practice and media availability today has been cancelled. No further information is available at this time.

Sources said there's at least one new positive Covid test. Deatrich Wise has not been available to the team the past two days for non injury-related reasons. He has since been removed from the injury report and would have practiced today ... if the Patriots had a practice.

League sources confirmed that James Ferentz will be placed on the Covid-19 list.

There's no easy way to make up this game if it does have to be postponed.

Considering how spread out the Patriots have been this week, the game may not have to be moved. Or it could be pushed to Monday or Tuesday. I'm sure the NFL will try to ram it through.

Right now, the game is on. The Patriots have four players (three starters) questionable: Julian Edelman (knee), RG Shaq Mason (calf), LT Isaiah Wynn (calf), and DT Adam Butler (shoulder).
