BSJ Daily Briefing 9.10.20: Celtics come up short in overtime thriller, brace for Game 7 on Friday

Get ready for Game 7. Ultimately, the Celtics were unable to vanquish the defending NBA champs on Wednesday night, as Toronto fought off elimination in an instant classic — holding off Boston for a 125-122 double-overtime win in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

B-Robb will be hosting a Celtics Q&A later today.

As the Patriots get ready for Week 1, Greg has a full breakdown of the team's offensive roster. 

The Red Sox were off on Wednesday, but Sean offered some interesting thoughts on what the Red Sox will be looking to evaluate over the final weeks of the season.

Bruce Cassidy took home the Jack Adams Award — given annually to the top head coach in the NHL. I thought the accolade was going to go to either Alain Vigneault or John Tortorella, but Cassidy's track record and Boston's strong response during the regular season after the 2019 campaign's crushing end made the B's coach a more-than-worthy winner.

Don Sweeney previewed an eventful offseason for the Bruins — highlighting in particular what should be a very active trade market across the NHL.
