The NFL's legal tampering period is set to begin at Noon, meaning that Tom Brady will be free to talk contract with other NFL teams for the first time in his career. Could he find a landing spot quickly? Even after seeing the Titans and 49ers bow out on Sunday, it's very possible.
Here's a running thread of news, reaction and thoughts:
10:37 p.m.: Bills trade for Vikings WR Diggs
Jay Glazer broke the news but Schefter had the compensation:

If I'm Don Yee, I'm calling the Bills, who have gobs of cap space and no quarterback.
9:40 p.m.: Jamie Collins to the Lions

Hard to believe the money there with Collins. He's not worth that, certainly not to the Patriots when he's only really good for about half the season.
9:30 p.m.: Marcus Mariota going to the Raiders
That would seem to take them out of the Tom Brady market, if they were ever in it (I heard they weren't ... unless Brady came to them on a deal).
8:15 p.m.: Kyle Van Noy to the Dolphins

That's a good deal that Van Noy deserves. He played well his entire time here.
3:23 p.m.: Now it appears Bears are out on Bridgewater

That would seem to leave the Bucs and Chargers for Brady, Bridgewater and, possibly, Winston and Mariota.
2:47 p.m.: Bucs, Bears seem to be pressing for Brady decision
So there's a weird four-way going on here between Tom Brady, Teddy Bridgewater, the Bucs and Bears.
The Buccaneers have let Tom Brady know he is their No. 1 priority and offered him a very strong contract offer, according to a league source.

And they're going to need an answer, because their backup play is Teddy Bridgewater — who is being pressed by the Bears (who are also in on Nick Foles, according to Mike Lombardi).
So it sounds like Brady's decision could come very quickly here because there are so many balls hanging in the air.
2:30 p.m.: Ravens trade TE Hayden Hurst to Falcons
Another possible TE solution for the Patriots is off the board as the Ravens traded Hurst and a fourth-round pick to the Falcons for second- and fifth-round picks.
Not a big fan, but good deal for both teams.
"Joe has been a model teammate and an essential element to our success since joining our team in 2016. Utilizing the franchise designation allows both sides more time to try to reach the goal of a long-term agreement."
