Final: Celtics 116, Sixers 95 - Jaylen Brown leads the way in blowout win

Jaylen Brown is not technically an All-Star but he certainly played the part on Saturday night. The swingman scored a game-high 32 points and added a team-high 9 rebounds, leading a shorthanded hosts to a 116-95 blowout win over the Sixers. Jayson Tatum added 25 points in 29 minutes to lead a balanced C’s scoring effort that included five players in double figures. Boston was undersized in the frontcourt without Enes Kanter to match up with Joel Embiid a big-man committee led by Daniel Theis limited the All-Star to just 11 points on 1-of-11 shooting from the field.

It was the third straight win for the C’s overall and first of the year against the Sixers in four tries. The C’s hit the road next to trip to extend the winning streak in Atlanta on Monday night.

• Kemba Walker will miss at least the next two games due to a sore left knee. It's the same soreness that sidelined him three weeks ago according to Brad Stevens. “I don’t know what they’ve officially labeled it as but it’s been ongoing all year," Stevens said. "And he missed I think a game earlier this month for it. But it flared up. You could tell he didn’t have his normal burst the other day. I don’t think it’s anything that we think is a long, long term thing by any means but we certainly may have to manage it."


• Enes Kanter is out for the fourth straight game with a sore hip. Tacko Fall was recalled from Maine for the matchup to provide added big man depth behind Vincent Poirier. Carsen Edwards was sent up to Maine to get some action in with the Red Claws.


• The Sixers will be without starting guard Josh Richardson (hamstring) but should have Al Horford back after a one-game absence: "They’ve got most of their guys," Stevens said. "Obviously Richardon’s out, but the other guys are here. So they pose a lot of problems for a lot of people. They’re a good team. We know we have to play well and we know what we need to manage better on both ends than we have in the first couple of games. We’ve had moments, specifically in the last two games, where I’ve thought we played really well. So we don’t really think about, like, if you play them how you did and all that stuff. You’re just thinking about how you can better play them the next time.”


• The Sixers have been one of the worst road teams in the league this year among playoff contenders, going just 9-16 to start the year away from Philly. "We've struggled all year with the road for some reason," Al Horford said. "I don't think our focus level is where it needs to be on the road. It's something that coach has been harping on more recently about us keeping that throughout the game and not having those lapses. Tonight is going to be a great challenge for us, it's going to be a great crowd tonight, obviously, national TV game, so there's a lot going on. I expect the group to be focused and ready."
