PREGAME NOTES:
- After missing the previous two games due to an upper-body injury, David Krejci will be a game-time decision for Tuesday’s matchup. If the veteran isn’t cleared, Charlie Coyle will remain at the second-line pivot spot. With Tuukka Rask still out, Jaroslav Halak will make his third straight start for the Bruins. He is 4-0-0 with a 1.71 goals-against average and .951 save percentage against Vegas in his career.
- The Bruins also shuffled up their blue line for Tuesday’s matchup, as the club sent Steven Kampfer down to Providence and called up 22-year-old Jeremy Lauzon, who will slot in on Boston’s third D pairing in place of John Moore.
- "Bigger body, harder to play against," Bruce Cassidy said of what Lauzon can bring this club. "Probably balances out some of our issues that we've been hoping to replace since Kevan left. Cliffy has given us some of that when he's been in - Johnny not quite as much as we'd like. We're gonna give Lauzy a shot. He's probably at that stage where he's put his time in in Providence and it's fair to say it's a good time to get a look at him and see where it goes."
- Vegas netminder Marc-Andre Fleury will try to pass Henrik Lundqvist for sole possession of fifth place among NHL goalies in wins on Tuesday. The Golden Knights are just 1-4-1 in their past six games.
