- If the Bruins are going to extend their winning streak to six games and their overall point streak to 10 on Friday afternoon, they’re going to have to do it without Patrice Bergeron, who will miss his third straight game due to a nagging lower-body injury. Jack Studnicka will slot back into the lineup and will center the second line next to Charlie Coyle and Jake DeBrusk, while Sean Kuraly will remain on the third line.
- Jaroslav Halak will start in net for Boston, while Connor Clifton will slot back in place of Steven Kampfer on the blue line.
- Boston might be on a hot streak, but so are the Blueshirts, who have won three games in a row and are 7-3-1 in their last 11 games. New York’s top free-agent coup this summer, Artemi Panarin, has racked up 26 points in his last 16 games for New York.
