A few random thoughts while I wonder if Isaiah Thomas has heard of defense...
- In a game that reminded no one of the old Heat-Knicks battles, the Celtics climbed to 9-1 on the season with a ... hang on, let me get the calculator out ... 140-133 victory over the Wizards.
- Washington actually shot better from the field, the Celtics were better from 3. ... Don't be afraid to play defense anyone.
- Boston's offense sure has come a long way from the opening loss to the Sixers when they couldn't hit anything.
- Did you know the Patriots' offense is among the league leaders in touchdown percentage in goal-to-go from 5 yards or less? That surprised me. Some other numbers that are good and bad, and how they might trend in the second half.
- The Astros sign-stealing accusations are getting closer to Alex Cora. I mean, there isn't going to be a smoking gun or anything so nothing serious will come out of it, but he was the bench coach. If anyone was involved with it, it would be him...
