PREGAME NOTES:
- The Bruins are looking for a rebound effort after dropping games in regulation to the Canadiens and Red Wings, but will face a tough test on Sunday against a Flyers club that has won three games in a row and is 7-2-1 in its last 10 games.
- Boston’s forward corps has once again been shuffled for tonight’s game, as both Joakim Nordstrom and Par Lindholm will return to the lineup after missing action due to an elbow infection and upper-body injury, respectively. Nordstrom will return to his regular spot on the fourth line, while Lindholm will center the third line next to Anders Bjork and Zach Senyshyn.
- With Lindholm standing as the third-line pivot, Charlie Coyle will get a top-six promotion and skate on the wing next to David Krejci and Danton Heinen.
- While Nordstrom and Lindholm were given the green light to return, Brett Ritchie, Jake DeBrusk and David Backes remain out due to injury. DeBrusk, who suffered a lower-body injury during Tuesday’s loss to the Canadiens, is expected to be out through at least next weekend. Backes (upper body) has no timetable for a return, while Ritchie is sidelined for the time being with an upper-body injury that tagged him as a late scratch on Friday against the Red Wings.
