9:47: Heinen is having a hell of a game — he feeds DeBrusk for a one-time bomb. 5-2 Bruins. That second line is looking good.
9:30: And Marchand makes it 4-2 on the power play. That crew had to break through sooner rather than later.

7:36: After a 10-minute delay, we're back to hockey. An awful, awful situation as Scott Sabourin needed to be stretchered off the ice. He collided with Backes, lost consciousness and hit the ice square on his face. Backes clearly shaken up after Sabourin is taken off the ice.
7:20: Pastrnak opens the scoring off of a great set-up by Krug off the end boards. 1-0 Boston.

PREGAME NOTES:
- While the red-hot Bruins are coming off of a three-day break, the Senators have also been on the shelf for quite some time, with their last game coming on Oct. 27 against the Sharks. Boston is looking for its fifth win in a row on Saturday night, while a rebuilding Ottawa team is looking to post its first road win of the year.
- The Bruins will shuffle up their lineup a bit for this matchup, as Brett Ritchie will sit out of the game due to an infection — a similar ailment to the one that has sidelined Joakim Nordstrom for the time being. Despite the timing of both injuries, Bruce Cassidy doesn’t believe that they are related in any way.
- We're keeping an eye on it. He might not be out as long, but another cut that didn't heal properly," Cassidy said of Ritchie. "He won't play tonight. Not ruling him out for Monday… Not necessarily the same as Nordy, but we're seeing some similarities, so the medical team is going to have to look at him and see if they caught it quick enough and he can get back at it or not."
- With Ritchie out, Peter Cehlarik has been called up and will take his spot on the third line, while David Backes will once again slot in for Nordstrom on the fourth line. Nordstrom has been ruled out for at least the next three games with his infection issue.
- “We're looking down the road for him," Cassidy said of Nordstrom. "I think there's an issue when you have what he has (because) you can't sweat for X-amount of time, you're very inactive. That sets you back right there.”
- On the blue line, Steven Kampfer will get the start in place of Connor Clifton, marking Kampfer’s second appearance so far in 2019-20.
- "That's just a coach's decision that keeps Steve (involved), similar to what we did earlier," Cassidy said. "Cliffy, I think, has played better since he's been back in, more consistent, but we want to keep Steve sharp."
- Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak are looking to extend their point streaks to 13 and 12 games, respectively, while Connor Brown has five points over his last four games with the Sens.
