Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder how much more Patrick Mahomes' knee can be covered:
- The Bruins lost in a shootout to Tampa in a really good hockey game. I especially like Brad Marchand's headlock at the end of regulation.
- Of course, the big issue with the Bruins, as always, is that no one else is scoring beyond the first line. And the problem seems worse this season, if you can believe that.
- Danny Ainge says nothing's over on the Jaylen Brown extension.
- Bill Belichick on the Michael Bennett suspension: "Yeah, I’m not going to comment on any player’s personal situation. ... Yeah, right now we’re focused on the Jets, so that’s what we’re working on."
- On Demaryius Thomas calling the Patriots a waste of time: "Yeah, look, Demaryius is a great kid. I have a ton of respect for him. He’s very professional and did everything we asked him to do. Our circumstances changed a couple times in that period leading up to when he was traded, and so I felt like I was always truthful with him, but things changed, and therefore what I said was not the same as what it was – what I had said previously. So, it is what it is."
- Patrick Mahomes left last night's game with a dislocated knee cap and it's being covered more than Syria. He'll be back for the Patriots game. But that Chiefs defense still stinks.
- The Broncos are horrendous. John Elway should get fired after trading Emmanuel Sanders to the Patriots.
- The Revs make their anticipated return to the MLS playoffs on Saturday. Rough draw with Atlanta.
Among the issues brought up by Super Bowl ref @JohnParryESPN:
- Turned over 7 of 17 referees, 10-20 officials could retire;
- Bench not being developed;
- 40% have fewer than 5 yrs experience
- FT Official Program shelved 2 yrs in
- Too much on Riveronhttps://t.co/YRewULKwkt
