A year ago this weekend, we wondered — well, tongue-in-cheek, and all that — if the Revolution would make the MLS Cup Playoffs. At this point, there were still four games remaining in the 2018 season, and the club was, if only on paper, still mathematically alive.
We all know how that ended.
Fast forward a year. The Revs are in the postseason for the first time in four years, and will conclude the 2019 regular season Sunday when they travel to Atlanta United FC (4 p.m., NECN).
Here is a quickie look at the permutations headed into Decision Day. The Revs still have a shot at 6th in the Eastern Conference, but need some things to go their way:
