Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Thursday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.
And here we thought things were going to slow down for the next month or so.
On Wednesday, the Patriots filed tampering charges against the Texans, arguing that Houston contacted Nick Caserio illegally in its' pursuit of him as a replacement for Brian Gaine. The story? Former New England character coach Jack Easterby -- who is now with Houston -- connected with Caserio at last week's ring ceremony. The next day, the Texans had fired Gaine. Coincidence? We shall see. (In terms of what the charges could bring, there could be a fine or loss of draft picks.) But it's added an intriguing new subplot to the Patriots' offseason.
