3' Revs come out in the press, a nice high line of contention. I have the Revs for four takeaways so far. And Bunbury earns a corner after Bye's takeaway.
4' Nice takeaway by Jones. Five takeaways.
6' This. Is. Wonderful. Ball has only gone into the Revs' half a couple of times.
7' Free kick for the Revs... same distance as Gil's service to Anibaba.... Columbus clears.
8' Bye with a centering kick to JFC, Crew clear it slightly.
9' Foul by Mancienne on Higuain, and he will go into the referee's book. Wicked early to show the colored plastic.
11' ANIBABA WITH A DRIVE! He forces Steffen to dive toward his right post. Solid build-up as Gil fed Bunbury.... and Bunbury, on the ensuing corner, needed to take that shot.
13' Corner to Columbus after Andrew Farrell races back and slows Robinho... Mancienne clears, but the Crew get it back, and a volley is handled by Cropper.
14' Mancienne with a big stop on Higuain after Cropper overplays while racing off his line. That would have been a goal...
15' Corner to Robinho, gets behind Farrell, heads just wide of the back post.
16' Andrew Farrell, you beauty. Incredible sliding challenge to dispossess Robinho....
17' Robinho clears out Farrell, and it's a corner. Anything you can do....
20' Mensah goes into the book for a rather reckless challenge on Agudelo.
23' Trapp with a foul on Caldwell.
26' Too much space allowed for Williams to slice through into the box... but Higuain's through ball is offline. Need to be tight.
28' Takeaway by Agudelo. I have every Rev outfield player except JFC with at least one takeaway in the first half an hour.
32' Corner by the Revs, Bye has it first, it tilts around, and Jones has a headed volley to Steffen.
33' OOOOOOF. Jalil Anibaba is a brick.... hooooooouse. He knocks Santos into next week on that body block.
35' Nice counter by the Crew, but Anibaba denies service into the box with a slide.
36' Francis gets a telling off even though he gave JFC an armbar.
37' Bunbury with his second takeaway... and he flails the finish with his left. Yuck.
42' GOAL COLUMBUS, as Williams -- totally against the run of play -- flicks a header on Higuain's free kick, and he has Cropper frozen. Williams got behind Bunbury on that. 1-0 to the Crew.
