The misery continues for the Red Sox with a 5-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Carson Kelly slammed a single into the left field corner off Colten Brewer to give the home team a walkoff victory.
The Sox grabbed a 3-0 lead in the top of the second, but David Price gave it right back in the bottom of the inning when he allowed four runs.
Boston pulled even in the seventh on a sacrifice fly from Mookie Betts.
In the bottom of the ninth, Betts gunned down Eduardo Escobar at the plate for the second out. But one batter later, Kelly rapped the game-winning single.

- Earlier today, the Red Sox placed both LHP Brian Johnson (elbow) and INF Brock Holt (scratched cornea) on the Injured List. Holt said he was accidentally poked in the right eye by his son, Griffin, on Opening Day and his vision has been affected. "It's something I thought I could play through and still be able to do my job,'' Holt told reporters, "but the vision in my right eye is really different. I don't want to be out there if I can't help us.'' Holt was just 1-for-16 with seven strikeouts at the plate.
- Johnson, who initially was to get a spot start Sunday in the final game of the road trip, pitched an inning and a third Friday and felt some discomfort in his elbow. "I didn't feel comfortable on the mound,'' Johnson told reporters. "I just felt like I couldn't really finish (my delivery).'' With Johnson sidelined, the Sunday start will go to Hector Velazquez.
- To replace, Johnson and Holt on the roster, the Red Sox promoted RHP Marcus Walden and infielder Tzu-Wei Lin.
- Dustin Pedroia, who played nine innings Thursday and then five on Friday before getting Saturday off at Single A Greenville. He's scheduled to play nine innings Sunday and if he comes through that OK, is still a candidate to be activated for Tuesday's home opener at Fenway.
