Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if the Sixers feel good about last night or realize they needed multiple injuries/ejections to edge Celtics at home...
- So the Sixers finally beat the Celtics and it only took two major injuries and a Marcus Smart ejection for it to happen.
- Seriously, does last night do anything to change anyone's thinking that if/when the two teams meet again, that the Celtics will dominate the Sixers?
- But, man, what is going on with the Celtics' defense? B-Robb smartly addresses the Marcus Morris issue.
- Of the AFC contenders, only the Patriots and Colts have done little this offseason to this point. That's usually a good thing.
- Obviously the Tyreek Hill situation could change a lot of things, but I like what the Chiefs have done. They needed a lot of change, especially on defense. Dee Ford was/is overrated and Justin Houston was way past his prime. The secondary was also terrible.
- Mookie Betts is no dummy when it comes to his contract and his future. But you have to wonder if, at some point in time, the Red Sox make a take it or leave it offer and think about dealing him. If he's just going to go to the highest bidder (Yankees or someone of that ilk), are the Sox just going to wait around?
- March Madness starts today. How many people take a sick day for it? I actually, at one point in time, got paid to watch NCAA games all day and write about it when I was at the Palm Beach Post. What a world.
