So Thursday's wild Kansas City-Los Angeles game gave New England a bit of a boost m the still-evolving chase for home-field advantage in the AFC. It's still sort of slim, but theoretically, the Patriots look like they have a better chance this morning at the No. 1 seed than they did before the Chargers upset the Chiefs.
There are a few other scenarios in play, but basically, it starts with New England winning out over the last three weeks. The Pats would also have to hope Kansas City loses to Seattle next week (feasible, given the way the Seahawks have been playing) and L.A. to lose to Baltimore and/or Denver. That would open the door for New England to home-field advantage.
Yep. At least a better one now than there was before the Chiefs lost. (How does someone get that open on a two-point conversion?)
