Off to Felger and Mazz, but will have a full breakdown on the game later Tuesday. I did want to give you sort of the big talking points, 3 up/down, charts and videos after reviewing the film from the loss to the Titans.
The good news is, most of what issues the Patriots had in this game were self-inflicted and can largely be corrected.
The bad news -- and the more concerning thing -- is why are they still having these issues, and why are they still dealing with them in November? And is there something fundamentally wrong with the makeup of this team?
- Forget all the talk about how the Titans had the blueprint. They know how to pressure Brady. Mike Vrabel knows the secret sauce. The bottom line is the Patriots played like complete and utter crap in all three phases. It was just a terrible performance, and you have to start with Bill Belichick. The big man sets the tone, and it obviously wasn't a good one.
- Patriots didn't start off great offensively, but Brady to Josh Gordon for 44 yards on the first third down was a big play. Then, it kind of went downhill from there:
First drive
James White
Adoree Jackson
Second drive
Sony Michel
Third drive: Touchdown
Fourth drive:
Julian Edelman
Stephen Gostkowski
After a second-straight hold by the defense...
Chris Hogan
Stephon Gilmore
Corey Davis
Patrick Chung
Jacob Hollister
ONE UP
Julian Edelman
THREE DOWN
Stephon Gilmore
Malcolm Butler
Tom Brady
Tom House
Patrick Chung
Dishonorable mention
