Mariota, Tennessee dominate Patriots on way to 34-10 win over New England taken at BSJ Headquarters (Patriots)

On to the bye week.

The Patriots saw their six-game win streak come to an end Sunday in Nashville, as the Titans absolutely crushed New England, 34-10.

In what will go down as their ugliest loss of the season to this point on the calendar -- yes, it was even worse than the Debacle in Detroit -- the Patriots were dominated in every facet of the game. New England fell behind 17-3 in the first quarter and never recovered on the way to their first loss since September.

Tom Brady, who was yanked midway through the fourth quarter for Brian Hoyer, finished 21-for-41 for 254 yards. Sony Michel led the ground game with 11 carries for 31 yards, and Julian Edelman paced the passing attack, coming away with nine catches on 12 targets for 104 yards.

The Patriots cut the Tennessee lead to 17-10 in the second quarter on a 1-yard rushing touchdown from James Develin, but could get no closer, as the Titans had little trouble moving the ball up and down the field against the New England defense.

In the end, Marcus Mariota (16-for-24,228 yards, two TDs), Derrick Henry (58 yards rushing, two TDs), Corey Davis (seven catches, 125 yards, one TD) and Dion Lewis (57 yards rushing, 11 yards receiving) combined to lead the Titans to their second straight win.

IN-GAME UPDATES

4:01 p.m.: That's it. 34-10. Maybe no more games against ex-New Englanders (Vrabel, Patricia) his year?

3:52 p.m.: On to the bye week. It's Hoyer in relief. Brady finishes 21-for-41 for 254 yards.

3:45 p.m.: This is going to go down as the ugliest game of the season so far for the Patriots. Tennessee just dunking on New England right now. Season-high 34 points for the Titans after that wildcat touchdown. No answer from the Patriots.

3:44 p.m.: Edelman (foot) to the locker room. It's been an issue for him all year.

3:40 p.m.: There's 10:48 left, but this one feels like it's just about done after New England couldn't pick up that fourth down. Zero offensive rhythm. Speaking for myself, I feel like I underestimated just how good this Tennessee defense was, mainly because of their schedule. But this group is legit.

3:36 p.m.: Oh, boy. More trickery, this coming on a pass from Edelman to Brady. Should make for an interesting week....
