BSJ Daily Briefing 10.29.18: Sox are champs, Pats get ready for Bills

GETTY IMAGES

Good morning!

  • A remarkable run through the postseason for the Red Sox concluded on Sunday night with a dominant 5-1 win over the Dodgers for their fourth title in 13 years. Sean and Greg were on the scene in LA to help you re-live it all with six pieces and nine videos on the win, so make sure you check it all out this morning. Terrific coverage by both of them during a marathon postseason run.
  • Kind of shocked that the MVP didn’t go to David Price given the playoff demons he overcame in this series. Not to say Steve Pearce didn’t deserve it too, but Price is the bigger name.
  • Can’t remember a champion with so many worthy MVP candidates though as a whole. Price, Pearce, Nate Eovaldi and Joe Kelly all were sensational over the five games.
  • Sounds like victory parade is Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. so mark your calendars for that.
  • No time for Boston fans to recover on the sleep front with the Pats looming in a Monday night showdown with the Bills. C’s and Bruins return to action on Tuesday night as well. Should be a great week.
