Toronto counters hard for three second-half goals: Not converting at one end and seeing a team go the other way and score will get you every time and, on Saturday night, it really bit New England in its bottom. The defending MLS champs went ahead, 2-1, after Lucas Janson scored off his own rebound in the 53rd minute, which came after VAR took a Toronto goal off the board. Five minutes later, Victor Vazquez scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-1, before Toronto’s Marky Delgado headed into an open net, the post unguarded, in the 81st minute to round out the scoring. It was the first time this season Toronto had conceded the first goal and ended up winning the match (now 1-14-1). And it could have been a whole lot worse than 4-1, given that the hosts had 11 shots on-target. And we thought Toronto was porous…
