Boston’s four-run fifth does the job: The Mets had taken a 3-1 lead in the top of the fourth thanks to a three-run Brandon Nimmo home run, but the Red Sox broke out the bats with two outs in the home half of the fifth. Steve Pearce and Ian Kinsler rapped back-to-back singles before Jackie Bradley, Jr. went to a 2-1 count. He would then launch a knee-high four-seamer to the top of The Wall, one which caromed up off the lip of the ledge. It was originally ruled a three-run homer, but after review, it was only a two-run ground-rule double. And after the Mets intentionally walked Rafael Devers, Alex Cora pinch-hit for Arctic-hitting Sandy Leon with Brock Holt, and the Brockstar came up swinging with a first-pitch Wall-ball double to bring in both JBJ and Devers.

- Boston now has 102 wins on the season, which is now the third-most games won by the Red Sox in team history.
- The Sox have now won four Porcello starts in a row, even though he hasn’t gotten the W in all four. In addition, Boston has won each of Porcello’s last 14 interleague starts, and have defeated 10 of the 15 National League clubs with RP22 toeing the slab.
- The Red Sox are now 55 games over .500. If Boston can get to 58 games over .500, it’ll be the first time since 1912.
