Notebook: Patriots claim a pair of wide receivers in Darboh, Hansen taken at Gillette Stadium (Patriots)

FOXBOROUGH — The team-building process never stops. The final cuts came Saturday, but there has been plenty of personnel shuffling on Sunday.

We’ll update this information throughout the day, but some of the more notable moves to this point include:

New England claimed wide receivers Amara Darboh and Chad Hansen. Darboh was a third-round pick of the Seahawks last year, but had just eight catches last season with Seattle. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder is a Michigan product.

As for Hansen, he caught nine passes for 94 yards last year with the Jets. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder went to Cal as a collegian. The book on him? He has a hard time getting open on intermediate routes, but possesses great hands and catches everything on sight. Great on deep stuff, but the intermediate areas were an issue. (He played in a spread system with Davis Webb at Cal.)

In addition, the Patriots added defensive lineman Vincent Valentine and linebacker Harvey Langi to the practice squad. Multiple outlets have also reported running back Ralph Webb and quarterback Danny Etling went unclaimed on waivers, and will be joining New England's practice squad as well.

However, the Patriots lost punter Corey Bojorquez and cornerback Ryan Lewis — two guys they had hoped to get through to the practice squad — to the Bills, who claimed the pair on waivers. And cornerback Cyrus Jones, who was cut loose by the Patriots on Saturday, was claimed by the Ravens’ practice squad.

And tight end Will Tye cleared waivers with an injury settlement and has been placed on the reserve/injured list. No surprise, as he was spotted in the locker room briefly on Sunday.

Brown missing at start of practice

Left tackle Trent Brown was the only player not spotted at the start of Sunday's padded practice, held on the lower fields behind Gillette Stadium. Brown, who was spotted in the locker room during media availability, didn't appear to be hobbled. Rex Burkhead and Sony Michel were both present.

Two other notes: one, there were several practice squadders in attendance, including Etling, Webb, Valentine, Riley McCarron, Cole Croston and Brian Ferentz. And two, Jason McCourty was spotted working with the cornerbacks in position drills. Maybe the safety experiment is done? We shall see.
