Final: Philadelphia Union 3, Revolution 2 -- Delamea handle the difference, Union and Revs flip positions in the table taken at Gillette Stadium (Revolution)

New England Revolution

WHO: Philadelphia Union at Revolution
WHERE: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.
WHEN: Saturday, August 11, 7:30 p.m.
TV/RADIO: NBC Sports Boston/98.5 WBZ-FM/1260 AM (Portugeuse)
WHAT’S UP: The Boys In Blue (7-7-8, 29 points, 6th East) are home after three road matches, and tonight is a rather important one: an Eastern Conference six-pointer against the Union (8-11-3, 27 points, 7th East). The stakes for tonight are simple: win and stay in the playoff positions (a draw is enough, too), or lose and see Philadelphia leap frog New England into sixth.

Sean here at overcast Gillette, and guess who's here with me? That's right: it's the gaffer! Greg joins me here tonight. The starting XI’s are below for members, your match notes follow.

The match is underway.

The Union get us started. Revs headed toward the Banner End, Union toward The Fort. Periodic updates follow. Enjoy the match, and thanks for joining us here on BSJ tonight.

1' Union start with a long ball off the kick, Revs take it away... go the other way.... cross from Penilla's side goes to Agudelo, he has a go, blazes.

2' Turner with a breaking of Union ankles on a pass backward by Delamea... other end, Bunbury shot blocked.

3' Bedoya goes up and over Fagundez on a 50/50, free kick Revs.

7' Bunbury releases Farrell with a hard run, takes two touches and fires... but he's wide.

8' Penilla cross into the heart of the 6 doesn't meet a blue shirt, and Agudelo is a touch late on his run.

11' A little cheeky backheel from TB10 to Agudelo, he booms a cross to Penilla... Penilla drags into the box, his shot is blocked. Revs with plenty of the ball and plenty of chances.

12' First corner of the match goes to the Revs.... and the Union nearly clear. Bunbury with a go.

13' Woah. Union, off a throw-in to Sapong, crosses to Burke, who heads it off the frame.

14' GOAL UNION, and it's Jack Elliot with the goal on a back heel off a cross by Medunjanin. Elliot gets away from Zahibo on the mark. 1-0 to Philly. Bedoya with a secondary assist, as it was on a corner.
