WHO: Revolution at Orlando City SC
WHERE: Orlando City Stadium, Orlando, Fla.
WHEN: Saturday, August 4, 7:30 p.m.
TV/RADIO: NBC Sports Boston/WBZ-FM 98.5/1260 AM (Portuguese)
WHAT’S UP: The Revolution are back in action tonight, and boy do they have the chance to halt a four-match unbeaten streak when they take on an Orlando City side that has been in free fall since May. A win tonight will help The Boys In Blue keep pace in the Eastern Conference, while a draw or a loss, alongside a Philadelphia win later tonight against the Timbers, will see the Revolution fall out of the Top Six for the first time this season.
Sean here at The Farm. Dinner's done, and it's match time in Orlando. The starting XI’s are posted for members, and your match notes are below the lineups.
The match is underway. Revs in the red and white change strip, Lions in the traditional purple. Orlando City get us started. Periodic updates below.
1' Caldwell pokes a ball away from Dwyer as the Lions slice up the left side. Bye with the clearance, but OCSC gets it back.
5' Needless corner conceded by the Revs.
6' That should be red as PC drags Penilla down from behind. He's in on goal, PC is the last defender, and that should be Lions down to 10. It's only a yellow card. Poor refereeing. Poor.
8' GOAL REVOLUTION, and it's Juan Agudelo for the first time since NYCFC! It's a throw-in by Bye right to Agudelo's head near the end line, and Edwards Jr. is clearly out of position. Huge goal for the Revs, and a huge goal for Agudelo. 1-0 to The Boys In Blue.
Gotta keep an eye on that near post.
