Good morning! A few scattered thoughts while awaiting the arrival of Eric Decker at Pats training camp
- Quite the display by the Sox bats last night at Fenway to help erase a 4-0 deficit. He wasn't a trade deadline day acquisition, but Steve Pearce may end up being one of the biggest ones for the Sox this year, as Sean McAdam points out. He's up to a .358 average with .679 slugging in a Sox uniform after his 3 homer night.
- Aaron Boone isn't exactly impressing anyone at the helm of the Yanks with his pitching management last night. Not sure how he let Holder face seven guys without recording an out in (what was) a close game.
- Sox lined up nicely now with their three best (healthy) starters for the rest of the weekend. Take two out of three and you are close to putting the division away, as Bedard notes.
- Pats back in action today. No Eric Decker yet but Kenny Britt is back in pads. He'll be one to watch out there this morning. Greg and Chris will be all over it as always from Foxboro.
