FOXBOROUGH — It goes without saying, but Revolution defender Chris Tierney really wants to put on that navy blue jersey again.

Out of action since tearing his right ACL against Atlanta United in late May and having undergone successful surgery on June 28, Tierney has begun his rehab: while the squad is working to produce results on the training pitch, Tierney is inside Gillette Stadium with the trainers, working to get himself back to match fitness.

That’s still a long ways away, of course, but the Wellesley native is keeping a positive attitude.
