Croatia comes from behind, advances to its first World Cup Final: Twenty years ago, Croatia -- in its first World Cup as an independent nation, breaking away from Yugoslavia -- lost to France in the semifinal round of the 1998 World Cup. This time, it can get its revenge in the Final. An extra-time winner by Mario Mandzukic, who got behind a sleepy England defense and slotted home in the 109th minute, gave Croatia a 2-1 lead -- and the win. Mandzukic would go off five minutes later with an injury, as Croatia bolstered its defense. And though England threatened late, nothing came of it, and the Three Lions are playing for third.
