Two-out hits key: In the Red Sox' big five-run third inning, most of the damage came after two were out. The Sox had scored a run on consecutive doubles from Blake Swihart and Jackie Bradley Jr. to tie the game, but after Mookie Betts fanned, the Sox re-started things offensively against Texas starter Yovani Gallardo. First came a double from Andrew Benintendi, then a single from J.D. Martinez, followed by a single from Mitch Moreland, and finally, a huge two-run double by Xander Bogaerts. In all, six different hitters produced hits in that inning.
