FOXBOROUGH — All you need to know about the Revolution’s scoreless draw with Seattle Sounders FC Saturday night, complete with BSJ quickie analysis and insight.

New England, Seattle split the points in ugly fashion: With Seattle playing its third match of the week, it settled on playing for a draw. The Sounders parked the coach in front of The Fort during the second half, making for some serious ugly football to watch on Route 1. Try and try as they might, the Revolution had difficulty in penetrating the Sounders on the left-hand side of Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei, and when they did slip in, they just couldn’t pull the trigger. Over on the other side, there was more of an easement, especially with halftime sub Gabriel Somi’s overlaps and Cristian Penilla’s pace, but hardly anything was on-target.
