A few thoughts while I wait for PPV information to be released for the next Tom Curran-Dan Shaughnessy showdown ...
- So far they've gone toe to toe on NBCSportsBoston.com, then it was The Adam Jones Show on SportsHub. What's next, WGBH?
- That sound you hear is the Red Sox wheezing after a rough week. First, Boston loses three of six (and three out of final four) against the pathetic Tigers and White Sox, and then it goes to Fenway South and managed all of three hits in regulation against the 19-win Orioles? Yeesh.
- Two sacrifice flies. That was it for the offense.
- At least Mookie is back. That should help things.
- We'll get to see Kyrie Irving this afternoon as he does press for his new movie (I had no idea this was really a thing). From the comments he already made to B-Robb, it sounds like he wants to see what this version of the Celtics can do without a lot of changes.
- Also in that story: DO NOT make a big deal about Irving's lack of contract extension. This is the way business is done in the NBA. It doesn't mean anything.
- I'm really disappointed Belichick didn't take the Patriots to Canobie Lake for their field trip. Do they use the buddy system on these?
