FOXBOROUGH –- With Saturday’s 1-nil defeat at the hands of the Columbus Crew still in the back of everyone’s minds, the Revolution returned to training Tuesday under gloomy skies with the same interim goal it has had all season: to not lose two matches in a row.

The Boys In Blue will train in Foxborough the next two days before making the flight to Vancouver Thursday to take on the Whitecaps at BC Place Saturday afternoon. It’s an early kick (5:30 p.m. ET) in the Pacific Northwest.

It’s the first of six matches in the next 22 days for the Revs, who’ll take on Atlanta United FC at Gillette next Wednesday, May 30, host New York Red Bulls on Saturday, June 2, before playing their US Open Cup fourth-round match the following Wednesday against a team and at a site to be determined this Thursday. There will be two additional matches before the World Cup break against Chicago (Saturday, June 9) and San Jose (Wednesday, June 13), both of which are on the trot.

“The most important game is the Vancouver game, without a doubt,” Revs gaffer Brad Friedel said following Tuesday morning’s training session.
