BSJ Daily Briefing 04.12.18: Yanks-Sox fisticuffs serve as undercard for Bruins-Leafs taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

Good morning!

A few random thoughts while I make sure my cleats are down sliding into this base...

  • Ah yes, the sweet smell of the Stanley Cup playoffs in a town with a legit contender.

  • This is going to be a phenomenal series, the type that draws you into the game if you're not already a big fan. It will have highs, lows, fights, hugs, villains, heroes ... and I'm not just talking about Brad Marchand. Been a little while since we've had a series like this around here. Buckle up, kids.

  • Thought Sean McAdam was totally on point with his take on what went down at The Fens last night. What a difference year makes. We've gone from, "(Whistle) Hey, that wasn't me..." to a melee. This Sox team certainly feels different, but it's early and things can change especially once adversity hits.

  • What Sean really didn't touch, and it's sort of the pink elephant in the room, is does this say anything about Dustin Pedroia?

  • Oh yes, the Yankees won the game thanks to a four-run first off David Price and his hand. This can't be good.

  • What are they saying in Gotham?

  • Still another one to go tonight.

  • And, oh yeah, I forgot to post this earlier. Very excited about this. Thanks everyone from all of us at BSJ!!
