It also helps that Boston is getting secondary scoring, which was the case against the Red Wings as the Bruins' fourth line capitalized when Noel Acciari scored his second goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1. That trio created havoc in front and Acciari took advantage at a time when the Bruins needed it.

Ask Rask and he'll deliver: Tuukka Rask's early-season struggles are a thing of the past. The internal competition helped him find his game after backup Anton Khudobin jump-started the teamwinning streakning-streak. Rask has won his five last starts and is playing as a true No. 1 again. He finished with 31 saves against the Red Wings.
Elite scorer: David Pastrnak extended his point streak to nine games with the game-tying goal. He has five goals and six assists (11 points) during this stretch.

TURNING POINT
With 2:32 remaining in regulation, and after a terrible icing by the Red Wings, Bruce Cassidy decided to pull Rask for the extra attacker and it proved crucial as Pastrnak scored at 18:34 to tie the game at 2-2 to force OT.

Brad Marchand: He's become a big-game player in big moments. He provided the game-winning goal only 35 seconds into overtime. He has four goals and six assists for 10 points in the last six games.

TWO DOWN
Anders Bjork: He needs to start shooting the puck more. At one point late in the third period, he could've had a quality scoring chance with plenty of traffic in front of Jimmy Howard, but Bjork held onto the puck too long and his attempt was blocked.
Jake DeBrusk: He's played so well of late, and really doesn't deserve to be in this category, but he didn't seem engaged tonight like he has been of late.
