The next time that Bill Belichick feels his offense has gotten too full of itself, he’s just got to haul that one out. Against Miami on Monday night, the Patriots’ offense was an awful 0-for-11 on third down. The last time a New England offense was that impotent on third down, it was 1991 and Dick MacPherson was the head coach.
