The injury list is quickly getting crowded again for the Celtics. The team announced on Monday afternoon that All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving will miss his second game of the season in Chicago on Monday night after suffering a quad contusion during Sunday's win against the Detroit Pistons.
Marcus Morris (sore knee) will also sit out his second straight game of the team's three-game road trip. Al Horford is listed as questionable with a knee contusion after banging knees with Pistons forward Anthony Tolliver in the first quarter of Sunday's win.
BSJ Analysis: The Celtics are in their busiest stretch of the regular season (five games in seven nights) so it's no surprise they are showing some extra caution on the second-half of a back-to-back with their leading scorer.
