BSJ Daily Briefing 11.03.17: Bruins win, Celtics get a big test

Good morning!

A few random thoughts as we wait for Tony La Russa to mount his coup against Alex Cora in May (kidding):

• Good, solid and hard-fought (ok, boring) win by the Bruins last night over the suddenly skidding Golden Knights.


• It's amazing how much more competent the Bruins appear when Tuukka Rask plays to his contract ... and Torey Krug isn't turning the puck over in his own zone.


• With all the injuries I'm half expecting to see someone like Teddy Donato suit up at center.


• Here we go with the Celtics. They've won six straight but now we see them on the road against a real team. Get ready for Carmelo Anthony, Paul George, Russell Westbrook and the rest of the Thunder. Huge test for the young pups in a hostile environment.


• Brian Robb has been in Oklahoma City for what feels like a week, so make sure to keep it here for comprehensive coverage.
