Good (late) Labor Day Weekend morning to you!
Everybody like their first look at Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward with the Celtics? Tell you what, people have said Irving is a different cat, and they weren't kidding. He certainly likes to hear himself talk, and seems to be impressed with himself. I don't necessarily mind that, and you tend to get that in the NBA, where so many turn pro so young. But I do wonder how that will all play out now that Irving very well might be the man in Boston. You can deal with it when you have a LeBron James leading the way. Will it wear on a team where Irving is the face of the franchise? I'm not saying it will, but just something I'll be watching for.
With that, away we go...
LOOKING BACK
Patriots
It's cutdown day. Chris Price has been all over it, and he'll be keeping you up to date all day long on what's going on.
Now we know why Justin Coleman didn't play on Thursday night: the team was looking to trade him, and they did to the Seahawks. Probably clears the way for Kenny Moore to make the roster. Good.
Cyrus Jones is done for the season.
Bubble players play the waiting game.
Forgot to post my Felger & Mazz appearance from earlier in the week, but it's here now.

BRobb's takeaways from the press conference.
Brad Stevens was a huge draw for Irving.
Uh, oh: Hayward made Jazz fans angry.

Bogaerts sits for Nunez.
