Good morning!

Well, a lot went on for a summer Friday, with David Price suddenly needing to be scratched from a start and placed on the disabled list right before he was due to take the mound at a possibly unfriendly Fenway.

Oh yeah, the Sox, after losing to the Royals 4-2, are now a half game behind the Yankees in the AL East.

And, of course, the Patriots are starting to rev up at training camp. The pads, finally, get put on today. Enough of the two-hand touch.

Just because I’ve been asked this a bunch: iOS and Android apps are in the process of being approved, and we hope to have them available by the end of the week. They are being reviewed as we speak. Hoping for any day now.

And just a reminder that the free preview of BSJ ends at 6 a.m. Monday. So if you like what you’ve seen (and this is just a small taste … we’re not even fully operational yet), subscribe today before you’re left out on Monday. We wouldn’t want that to happen!

And thanks to the 1,800-plus people that have already signed up. Our small, independent is fired up for you and where we’re going.

Also, we want our military friends to know that we’ll be working all weekend to get your free accounts set up so you’re ready to roll on Monday.

And away we go…

Red Sox

Sean McAdam thinks that whatever the reason, it’s probably good for everyone involved that David Price is going on the disabled list.

Dustin Pedroia stood in front of the media and said there’s no leadership problem on the Sox.

Sean has a really good piece on how Rick Porcello's sinker may be turning against him.

Live coverage of the Sox’ 4-2 to the Royals.

McAdam did a Live Q&A.

Dion Lewis told me that after a rough 2016 healthwise, he’ll “show some people some stuff,” this season.

Totally agree with Chris Price on this: Eric Rowe is charging hard in the race for third cornerback.

Chris got some great stuff from Stephen Gostkowski, who’s trying to bounce back from a below-average season for him.

Daily practice report from us. The secondary had a day.

Chris did a radio show.

Rex Burkhead talked on video.

What’s it sound like when Tom Brady takes the field?

Brian Robb asks the question: Is it time to worry about the 2018 Nets pick?

Can’t help but think of this when it comes to Price.
