Good morning. Well, not sure you're going to think it's all that good...

While you were sleeping, the Red Sox played a game that seemingly wouldn’t end and lost their fourth-straight game, 6-5 to the Mariners in 13 innings.

Sean McAdam was succinct in the Live Coverage file, where he chatted with subscribers in the comments during the game (that’s what we do here):

In the ugliest way imaginable, the Red Sox saw their losing streak stretch to four straight Tuesday with a hideous 6-5 loss in 13 innings to the Seattle Mariners.

A wild pitch by Doug Fister allowed Ben Gamel to score from third as Guillermo Heredia went from first-to-third. After a walk to Mike Zunino, Jean Segura won it with a single behind the second base bag.

But the slumping Sox did get something accomplished late in the night. Despite calling up top prospect Rafael Devers (who was 0-for-4 with two walks and a run scored in his Major League debut), Dave Dombrowski acquired Giants third baseman/utility player Eduardo Nuñez. The Giants received two minor-league pitchers in the deal.

That will be the talk of the day in Boston, but the fact remains the Sox are slumping and can’t shake their turmoil. Sean McAdam broke down the situation around David Price and the team well, and had a few interesting nuggets in there.

McAdam also looked at where Devers is as a player.

Brian Robb did his usual deep dive to a place that surprised me: he doubts the Celtics will offer Isaiah Thomas a max contract next summer. Robb also posted his Big Three Podcast.

Christopher Price had the news that Andrew Hawkins retired two days before practices started.

Price also chatted with subscribers (88 comments!).

I did my usual two hours with Felger & Mazz on Tuesday.

Sorry, but new version of NFL GamePass just didn’t allow me to do my anticipated Stephon Gilmore analysis. It’s terrible, and I'm not going to waste your time if I can't do it right.

I’ll have a morning column that looks at the drama-free Patriots heading into camp.

9:45 a.m.: Bill Belichick scheduled to speak to reporters at Gillette. Price will be on the scene in Foxborough.

10:00 a.m.: Patriots coordinators and assistants scheduled to speak to reporters at Gillette.

12 p.m.: Devin McCourty and Matthew Slater scheduled to speak.

1 p.m.: Brian Robb will be chatting in the comments. Look for the live file around Noon to get your questions in.

3:40 p.m.: Red Sox at Mariners. McAdam will be providing live coverage in Seattle.

Can almost smell the footballs and the fresh-cut grass in the air. Football is coming. #onemoreday
